If I could give this place a zero star I would between service and food. $18 for like 8-10 pieces of calamari is a rip off for potion and taste was underwhelming. My husband got the double bone pork chop and I got the steak burger and both of our meals were so under seasoned. My burger was also so drenched in sauce it destroyed the bun and I couldn't pick it up to eat it. Very disappointed from the time we were seated to the time we left. I frequented Culpeppers in 2002-2005 and also when I moved back in 2011-2013 and it was an upscale place. After moving away for 13 years I came back and it was 180 degrees from what they were known for: great quality food, upscale ambiance, absolute professional service and great presentation of their menu. We went there for my husband's birthday and I'm so disappointed in the quality of food they serve now. It used to be a great place for a steak. If you look at the reviews, the recent ones are not very good. The ones from years past were very good. We had steak and lobster. My husband's steak was semi good and he liked the lobster. 20% automatic tip for parties of 6 or more???? Ambiance is meh... dated for newer locations in the area. Food was meh... but prices on the menu for hard ass chairs and mid era bar type tables to sit at do not equate to 5 star steakhouse prices. I had the smash burger had a regular McDonald's style sesame bun on it - nothing fancy about it at all - came with soggy onion rings, wife had 9oz filet decent taste but rarer than what was

Ordered for the first time from the updated Culpepper's through Uber Eats. Was delivered just fine, Howe was missing the gravy for 2 orders of Chicken Fried Steak. Who wants CFS with no gravy? Spent $80 on 2 orders. Food was salty and small sides with stingy toppings. Called the restaurant and they wouldn't help bc it was ordered through Uber Eats even though they were the ones who didn't pack the gravy. Uber Eats wouldn't compensate anything either. Ordered the Steak-Chicken Combo Fajitas for "2-3" people for delivery. Price came out to $48.52 before the $10 tip I gave to the driver. I got FOUR tortillas and ONLY 8 oz of rice, beans, veggies. This is enough for 1 person, not 2 or 3. The steak and chicken portion was enough for 2. I ended up having to order more food somewhere else to accommodate for everyone.

I have never been to a Steakhouse that doesn't serve bread!! No, if you want bread with your steak and baked potato you have flour tortilla. Hugh disappointment!!

Came on a Monday, the apps and drinks were so bad on top of slow service we left instead of getting entrees. Stay away from queso, wine, and salads.

Been going to culpeppers for years. Not the same since new ownership. First few times we went after new ownership it was not great but wanted to give them a chance. We just finished eating and thought I would post this. We probably will not be going back. Really poor service and the food was not great. Seems to be getting worse than better.l
