Reverse shoulder replacement...I am an 80 year old patient of Dr Salazar and had a reverse shoulder replacement on March 20, 2026. I did not know what to expect as I also have heart issues. Dr. Salazar performed a right reverse total shoulder arthroplasty 7 weeks ago and both surgery and the post-op went exactly as he said it would. With the nerve block and a pain management plan that started on the day of surgery, there were no significant issues and after tapering the dosage starting at 2 weeks, I was back to just acetominophen at 3 weeks. I put off shoulder replacement surgery for a few years thinking it would be a difficult recovery but was wrong. The surgery went quick and was successful. Dr. Salazar is someone who gave me back my quality of life. I needed a reverse shoulder replacement and he was extremely professional and his bed side care was more than I could have ever imagined. Choosing to trust Dr. Salazar was one of the best decisions I could have made for my heath.
Dr. Salazar did shoulder replacement surgeries on my mother in December 2024 and October 2025. Both surgeries were very successful. Dr. Salazar explains everything in great detail and is an excellent communicator. Months removed from the surgery my mother has no pain in either shoulder, and has much more functionality.
