I was referred from the E.R. , In a lot of pain and I was fearful of the intensity of the fracture. At the first office visit: Dr. Salazar really helped me to understand the whole problem. He started a good regimen and helped me pain medication. This doctor is knowledgeable, experienced, has a positive attitude, and mostly... just easy to talk too! Offices are clean and Staff is Top-Rate! I highly recommend Dr. Salazar! May God Bless.
Dr Salazar pre and post surgery treatment was 5 star. My shoulder was in such bad shape, I was in so much pain I couldn’t raise it. Last July I was on vacation in Michigan and had a traumatic fall fracturing my right humoral head in several places. I was told in the Michigan ER that I would need a reversed shoulder replacement. I immediately called Orthopedics at Loyola and spoke to Dr. Salazar’s nurse Jeannie. I am a nurse myself, and knew the importance of having an experienced surgeon perform this procedure. Jeannie immediately assured me that Dr. Salazar was quite capable. Jeannie spoke to his physician assistant Bianca for added instructions, and ad... read more
Dr. Dane Salazar of Loyola Medicine was referred to me as a trusted doctor to analyze my shoulder injury as a result of a fall I took in late Nov. 2021. Dr. Salazar was very attentive, documented in detail our conversations, and provided me with exactly what I needed to prepare for prior to surgery as well as what I should expect through the weeks and months post-op. Surgery to repair a severe rotator cuff injury took place in early March of 2022. The post op recovery immediately following the surgery, the weeks of supervise... read more
My 17 year old son who is a HS quarterback, needed surgery for OCD (dead spot on elbow). Dr. Salazar was very cautious and explained everything in depth. My son actually ended up having several pieces of cartilage cleaned out and a bone spur taken care of in addition to the scheduled work. Dr. Salazar took pictures throughout the surgery and explained everything to us post-op. He was also very supportive and accommodating throughout the recovery process while still maintaining that high level of caution, care and explanation... read more
My son is a D1 college wrestler who had injured his shoulder through years of abuse. Dr. Salazar went above and beyond to help my son. He made sure that he needed the surgery and knew exactly what he was going to do before the day of the operation. He made sure to communicate more than anyone I have seen in the medical field and explained every detail so that we could understand exactly what was wrong and what he was going to do to repair the shoulder. Dr. Salazar helped with scheduling appointments and the surgery to help w... read more
I first met Dr. Salazar when I was having pain and loss of motion in my right shoulder. We discussed a plan and began with physical therapy. Although I was making progress with therapy we decided a cortizone injection would help with pain and improve motion. I was nervous about getting an injection as I have never had one. But Dr. Bennis performed the ultrasound guided injection with minimal discomfort. I returned to complete therapy and have made a 98% recovery. Dr. Salazar follow up to make sure things were moving forward ... read more
Class Act doctor who will treat you like family. Fantastic bedside manor and excellent at explaining everything you need to know. He has operated on multiple family members and I would recommend him to anyone.
Had surgery for two torn tendons in my elbow in early September. Dr. Salazar was great in the pre-surgery office visit, on the day of surgery and in the post-surgical follow-up visit. Very personable, spent as much time with me as I needed, answered all of my questions and thoroughly explained the surgery. On the day of surgery he was very reassuring. The surgery was very successful and eliminated all of my pain and my recovery is going extremely well. I am very satisfied with all aspects of the care I received from Dr. Sala... read more
