This "hot chicken" (I'm sure you know this, but "hot" means spicy, it doesn't mean that it's warm although it is warm as well!) restaurant is in the heart of the recently booming and very trendy (formerly very Kosher) Fairfax Avenue between Beverly Blvd. and Melrose Ave. Surrounded by all the cool hip-hop and sneaker stores. Wow. I ordered this from UberEats while having a busy work day and it was immaculate. I was hesitant because I tried another hot chicken place and wasn't a fan. However, this is like the best! The sliders were so good, well seasoned and yummy. I decided to try the lightly mild since I can't take the heat. It was definitely worth it! Dare I say...it is definitely better than Al's. I'm a huge fan and I plan to order from them again!

Dave's really exceeded my expectations for a chain all over LA. I got the medium which really felt like mild and my friend got the hot which is more like medium spiciness...it had a good kick but not too spicy. This location is in a kind of sketchy area at night. I did tip 15% even with it being fast food and I wanted to tip even more after what I saw. With Nashville hot chicken joints popping up everywhere I figured let me try this place. It's not that I don't like the place or the food or the service, I think I'm just comparing it to other tastier fried chicken sandwiches that I've had! It gets your fried chicken fix but not the best in flavor cuz I've had better.
Right before leaving LA and heading to the airport, we got these hot chicken sandwiches that hit the spot. So good. I got one medium and one hot which is a perfect combo. The side of kale salad was disappointing and I'd probably skip that next time. Fries were big portion as well - I couldn't finish it. I'll be back!
Dave's is one of the top chicken strip places I been to. The spices aren't as hot it's a little disappointing. I had gotten the hottest one it tasted mild. But other than that the flavor pretty tasty and very affordable. They are a chain so they got locations in many different locations. Give it a go if your craving chickens strips
