TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

So glad they brought this up to the AV! Even though they're busy, the service is quick and the staff is super nice! It's always nice when you go to a new place and the staff is welcoming. You can eat inside and there is ample parking. The chicken strips are amazing! So crisp on the outside and the chicken is perfect. I've gone up to extra-hot and it is spicy but not unbearable, which is good. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Wow. First time in this place and it was super good. The chicken tender and slider combo was my choice. One spicy other mild. It was so tasty and fresh that this is now my favorite chicken joint. The pickles are crunchy and yummy and love Dave's sauce with my fries. Only nit pick is the milk shakes are not that good but it's a chicken place!!! Highly recommend.

Came with a group of 8 and had a great time. Good food. Great service, especially Christina and Ryan. Even got a friend to try the Reaper tender. It was awesome to watch him struggle.
Service was good, wait was not too long, resturant was clean. Staff very professional patient and knowledgeable. Ordered a #2 (2 slides & fries) & #3 (Chicken strip, slide & fries). Tried no spice, mild & hot flavors. Mild was perfect for a pregnant woman prone to heart burn lol and a 7 year old. Hot was perfect for my husband who likes spicy. Sooooo.... I'm usually a bit unsure of restaurants even when recommended by friends. Seems like since COVID even my usual faves have been disappointing. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I've tried all the HOT chicken places in the AV and DAVES is by far my #1 favorite! The chicken is moist and full of flavor.
