TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Bomb! I got the two hot chicken sliders and fries. I got medium heat which was still pretty spicy but not to the point where it was not enjoyable. ( I can handle heat so if you can't, I'd get mild) the flavor was great! Will get food from here again
Best chicken place ever , anytime I'm in town I'm coming here ! No other chicken compares !
Coming from somebody who can moderately tolerate spice, medium heat is mild enough to enjoy the meal but with a hint of spice. We substituted fries for kale slaw with no extra charge. It made the meal lighter and cooled down the spice of the chicken. Parking lot out front was easy

A good SPICY chicken sandwich is hard to find so I was excited about the reviews and eager to try their unique sandwich. They did NOT disappoint! I got the "hot" and it was definitely HOT! I'm not a baby when it comes to spice but even my palate was overwhelmed with spicy deliciousness!! It was crispy, juicy and perfect! This location is incredibly CLEAN as well! Tried out Dave's #2 at the hot level and it was delicious! The hot level is pretty spicy but nothing to where you can't handle. The burger was super flavorful and the fries were AMAZING. The crispy and sauce to dip it is perfect. It's pretty pricey for a meal, as I paid $15 for it but worth every penny. The restaurant and restroom was clean and service was amazing! Can't believe it took me this long to try out this place; but I'll definitely be returning!
The food was great but the service was better. Ben was amazing. It was out first time in and he greeted us, explained the whole menu and was just so nice. We will be coming back.

Dave's Hot Chicken is just another version of the Nashville Hot Chicken craze that hit Houston beginning with Gus's on Washington a few years ago. I usually enjoy visiting these restaurants and this was one of them. Dave's is in its own building with its own parking lot.
