TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I really just wanted a snack. I do love the single chicken tender option. Using the app, I place the order online. There is plenty of parking out front although with the addition of the coffee and Mendocino Farms a little congested. Inside the location was Poppin.Good music was playing. We ordered pickup from Dave's Hot Chicken and it was very good. Everything was hot when we received it and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. I had the slider and tender combo, and the slider was definitely my favorite part. The sauce on the slider was delicious. The slaw and fries were also very good. Every aspect of our order was correct, down to the type and number of sauces we requested. Great experience and I look forward to ordering from Dave's again!
Normally I am not a fast food person but I make expectations for halal chicken and higher quality ingredients. Had the chicken tenders and fries. Very good fries and chicken was great too. The only thing off was the amount of seasoning on the chicken. I am okay with things being hot or spicy. The chicken's texture was caked in spices so you couldn't enjoy it completely amongst the dry clumps. Yikes. Other than that it was a good experience... I used my napkin a lot.
Food is delicious, the service is great, ambiance is cool I guess. 8/10 Hot level is 10/10
My favorite chicken sandwich restaurant. Foods pricey but worth the money. Usually one slider and fries is plenty.
No joke, the best chicken sandwich I've had. The Crack Shack has nothing on this place! The second time here and still awesome!
Always bomb! Best hot chicken in OC, stoked they opened one up closer to us than the Costa Mesa one! Though my husband still goes there on his lunch breaks ;)
