TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Really decent chicken. Be careful, they're spice levels are pretty ruthless. I ordered the hot level and although it wasn't too bad as I was eating it, my lips and throat burned for an hour after I was done. The flavor was really really good tho. They're sliders are beyond delicious and, and the tenders are seasoned exceptionally well. Only complain is that the food was a little oily. I keep seeing Dave's Hot Chicken everywhere in the OC so it got me so curious. I finally decided to try it with my husband when my brother said he was going to DoorDash Dave's. I got the combo with 1 slider and 1 chicken tender. First bite of the slider was delicious! Friendly service and great location. Cool wall designs. Employee who served and took the order was friendly. At this time, they are offering a check-in on yelp deal for free drink. We ordered chicken tenders and chicken sliders to try both options. We enjoyed the meal overall, spiciness level for mild is just right for our taste, but the meal was on the saltier side. I come here all the time with my son. It's addicting, I would recommend starting off with the medium spice level first before going higher. Milkshakes are original and to die for, would put in and out to shame.
Being a newbie to the Dave's chicken movement we just ordered a combo meal each and assumed that was the way to go. For a "quick bite" we spent $32 and we only got 1 soda the other was water. Ok so food is expensive these days.. whatever... The mild level of heat is the way to go as things get real hot real quick as you move up the Dave scale. Baboon ass is a real thing folks... Sandwiches were good, French fries are really good...
