TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Ordered a round of tendies for the family, kiddos going No Spice, but my wife went all in on Extra Hot for our first visit. She was pleased with the spice level and flavor combination

Since my friends showed me Dave's Hot Chicken in Santa Ana I've always liked it. A lot nicer to have one close by then having to drive all the way down, first with the Irvine and now this location. The thing that set this Dave's apart and made me write a review was the service. I was part of a large group, around 12, and we came in a bit under half an hour before closing and started a mini rush. They were helpful and didn't ask us to take it to go or mention that they were about to close, regardless we ate outside to be nice... read more

I must say, I've tried Dave's hot chicken only 1 time before in LA off of Fairfax & don't really recall anything memorable.. but I must say... something HAS changed. Today I decided to leave Chikfila alone and put my trust in Dave's Hot Chicken for lunch, a decision I do not regret! Starting with the location--it's new, clean & in a great area. Long day, toyota dealership stuff...no fun. Came to daves with a frown on my face, kinda ticked off. Austin was easy to work with, took my order then had to completely redo it (i havent been to daves and forgot difference between 1/2). Stuffed myself with daves the guy that was getting sauces gave me his name and was also nice. The food was very hot and took like 3 mins to get done. Walked out with a smile on my face.

Food was good. I got my tenders extremely hot and it was pretty spicy. I enjoy spicy food so I will be back to try the reaper seasoning level. Service was good about what you expect at a fast food place. Was a little disappointed the combo does not come with a drink. Vibe was cool, they had music playing and I enjoyed looking at the art they have on the walls. Great if you're looking to get fast food.

This chicken is really good! I had the mild coating and it was just the right amount of spice for my liking. They also give extra sauce on the side if you ask for the packets. The fries were also seasoned well and tasted great. I'd def eat here again.

Went here for the first time. Newer location in Mission Viejo off Alicia by the Freeway and Target. I got the slider and tender with fries. The slider I dis medium and it was delicious. I am not a person who likes spicy and this was so good, but it was a little to spicy for me. The tender I did mild and it was also delicious, I liked it better then the Medium. The fries have seasoning on them and are so good. The shake was good too. Five stars! I will be back!!
