TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

1st disappointing visit out of 6 to this location. My food was good, but this is where you want to keep on reading... I was there in a small group and witnessed so many food service standards & common courtesy violations that (from today's experience) will heavily impact my decision to revisit this location or DHC in the future. Our party of 5 was there to celebrate a good performance and full-day of camaraderie at the airsoft field. One of our mates wore a sparkly chain with a funny nickname (a big hit with all the fello... read more
Food was really good as always. Place looked really clean. Service was terrible. I've gone to this location about 8 times, and every single one of those times have been a very positive experience. Four of my friends and I ordered from the kiosks and one of my friends decided to have some fun and put "Baby Girl" as his name. I know it was needless and could be seen as a waste of time for some people, and not funny to everyone, but he did it to entertain himself and us. Shortly after ordering, we made our way over to get a dri... read more
I'm not impressed with this place. I don't really get the hype around it. There chicken is too salty. and there food is so spicy it's unenjoyable.
Dave's is always a great choice when it comes to hot chicken/ chicken sando, their portions are reasonable and their spices are where it's at. I would've given this review a 5 star review if they didn't get my order wrong. My girlfriend and I order our usual, which is a two tender combo for her and two sliders for myself. I'm usually not one to complain especially if the food is delicious, but I had ordered a two slider combo, one medium and one hot, only to realize that both sliders were in fact medium. I'm not much of a ... read more
Will update this to 5 stars once things get better here. It's the second time we saw our chicken not coated properly with the right spice level sauce and the right amount of powder. They nailed it before every time but can clearly see quality control dropping. Staff is always great and overall meal is good usually. Not sure why the slippage these days. Will be back and hope things are back to normal.
I have been coming here for a while now and this is the second time they got my order wrong. I came in 6:50pm Sunday March 10 and didn't get my order until 7:20 (twenty five minute wait) which I understand because they were quite busy. I ordered the two sliders combo LIGHT MILD and again they gave me either the Reaper or extra hot. I asked if they can expedite my order but the worker said "no, we have a lot of orders." I would have had to wait another 25 minutes for my order. I thought they would expedite my order since it ... read more
My husband and I shared the 2 slider with fries meal and a side of cheese fries. I had surprised my husband because he loves spicy sandwiches. He ordered the extra hot and I got the mild. Both sandwiches were so heavily salted we couldn't eat them. Same thing with the fries. The only thing we could eat was the cheese fries but those were not anything special. I would not recommend this place at all.
So... we ate here. We look And look hard for good fried chicken. From SJC TO LA.... We search fried chicken. This was the worst fried chicken we have ever had in SoCal. Denny's was better. Bland... dry.... Chewy.... What a bummer Of all the easy food to fix.... Egg batter flour and seasoned fried chicken batter is so gosh darn easy. Staff were so busy they messed up the order. My goodness. It was so blah.... I'd suggest KFC over this place. Just for the info - Jollibee spicy fried chicken is way bett... read more
The commercials are great, so had to try it. My husband picked up, so no comment on service or ambiance. Food was dry and unappealing looking. Sorry.
