TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Awesome addition to Mission Viejo and just what it needed. Love getting 2 sliders, one hot and one medium.
Food was great, wait it omw was not long at all! The people were there look like they're in High school, "young and dumb" with an attitude but the cashier girl was friendly (: Cons: small selection of sauce options. All they have is daves sauce, honey, and ketchup I would have liked bbq sauce & a honey mustard. They didn't even ranch for the spice or selection Pros: taste, wait time, medium level was a perfect spice level for that kick and still can enjoy your food without needing to take break or down your drink
first time there and def will be back. Had the tenders and fries light mild and it was plenty hot.

Hot damn! Finally a chicken sandwich shop worth its weight in South OC! Dave's Hot Chicken is no doubt the real deal. I arrived the day after they opened this Mission Viejo location and was lucky that the line wasn't too long yet. They had just opened at 11am and by the time I left, there was a line out the door. I have grown up around here my whole life and came in last Saturday. I was amazed by my experience and the customer service. One employee Idean was especially amazing. He greeted and helped me with such kindness. Really makes me feel like it's the good old days again with the old fashion very personal customer service experience.
Just opened recently. Located right off the freeway in the new building area next to Target. Plenty of parking as it is on the side of target that had been underutilized for years. No other restaurants next to Dave's currently. Service - Excellent service. It can get busy but the line moves really fast. The cashier were efficient and provided great recommendations to customers. Kids love it. Careful with the take out option via Yelp/Grubhub/Uber eats- every item $1-2 more than in store, so annoying. But the chicken is great. Prefer lite mild or no sauce, the "hotter" versions are kinda gross.
Food is amazing. Tastes just like all the other ones i have visited. Often very busy with reason. I will be returning.
