TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

We love Dave's Safeway service the location in seal beach alway have the crispiest fries! We personally enjoy their sliders !

The food is great, I mean it's chicken, can't go wrong. Where you do go wrong is with rude workers. I get to the register and the BIG girl working there says to me "what you want?" Umm hellla rude. Then proceeded to flash me dirty looks and try to talk about me to her coworkers. Now the coworkers are super nice and completely made me comfortable and made me laugh. I was visiting Long Beach, and this spot had been on my radar for some time. But while I LOVE spicy fried chicken, I admit I was coming in with major bias. That's because I live in Nashville most of the year and spend the rest of my time in Los Angeles. In Nashville, we invented hot chicken in the '80s. First timer. Big shutout to Hayle who was an absolute delight, walked me through my first DHC experience with style & grace. Everything was solid! I ordered the #4 slider spice level was hot and the tender spice level medium. Hot is the way to go, didn't taste much with medium--ordered extra pickles because yes.
