TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

A lil incosintent between chains but this one was gassigton. Chicken in moist and crunch the sauce carries a bit, but overall fast service and good grub

This place is a bit overrated in my opinion. The service is fast and portions are good but the chicken was lacking in flavor. I would definitely try the chicken with honey it made it wayyy better. Beware the hot was hotter than I expected! I did enjoy how crispy the fries were but they weren't anything special.

I ordered 2 sandwiches, 1 cauliflower bites, and a side of fries for pick-up. The service was great but food definitely didn't live up to the hype. For me, the flavor of the chicken was overpowered by the smoky flavor of the seasoning. I'd recommend giving it a try.

I didn't think this was all the hype. The chicken was underwhelming to me. It was on the drier side. But their fries were very good with the sauces. We were a little disappointed that the bread is just white bread that isn't toasted or anything. So there was nothing special if you got bread. My boyfriend and I have tried a lot of different chicken places and we don't think that this fried chicken made it on our list for a place we would revisit. Ordered hot to make sure it would have some spice to it as I know the American spice meter might be a bit more toward the safe side, hot was perfect, I don't think I can do any spicier. An order of single tender was $5 and came on a slice of bread with a side of pickles and house sauce, the fried chicken hits the spot for a cheat meal, but god damn I'm not sure what's in the chicken, but I've been very thirsty since then. We finally made it to Dave's after watching the Cubs beat the Mariners. My son and I both had the Dave's #3: 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries (Hot) with cheese. The flavor of the chicken and spice was very good, next time I might try the medium level. They were fairly busy, but still had good customer service and fast service.
