TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I LOVE!! Dave’s hot chicken! It’s the perfect spot for an afternoon snack or a quick casual dinner. The food is absolutely phenomenal with a flavor bomb of secret seasonings. My wife has also tried their Dave’s Not Chicken (cauliflower bites) and they are also very good! Most definitely will be coming back and attempting to step up the spice level each time! 🥵😂
For fast food spicy chicken, this is the place! I went with Dave’s #1, Extra Hot. For me, it’s spicy while still being able to taste the chicken. Fries and a drink round out the meal. Will go again.
That was some good hot chicken. Got the 2 sliders and fries (15) and for the chicken hot. Hot is about the right temperature. Kid next to us got the hottest and was crying pretty uncontrollably. The sliders were not sliders and we're basically full sized sandwiches. Check them out for a great hot chicken sandwich.
The atmosphere is nice similar to a Chick-fil-A restaurant. The servers were nice but the food was slow to come out. The Internet had me and sons excited to try the food but we were let down. 1) The prices are high for a slider or tender 9.99 for 2 tenders and 5.00 for an additional tender. 2) The chicken itself, was tender but the powdered seasoning destroys the taste. 3) 52.00 for 3 people (before tip) and we threw the food away. There are too many places with great food, so it's a one time experience for us.
If you like salty food. You may like this place. I’m sure some people will this place is great. It’s just not for me. Cashier was nice, but just going through the motions. Chicken was too salty for me and I could not eat it. Fries were good and I liked the pickles. When I pulled up and walked in, an employee was outside the door smoking a strong smelling cigar. This is not a smell I would like to have before walking in. The place was new and clean. The tea was not a fresh brewed tea, it was out of a fountain.
