TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This was my first trip to the Dale Mabry Dave's Hot Chicken location for me. I ordered a #1 with 2 tenders extra hot with fries and a regular fountain drink. I can't say enough about Dave's quality and consistency. The flavors they create are amazing. The chicken is always cooked fresh and the fries are always crispy and hot. The heat level and flavor of the extra hot heat level is definitely my favorite. The service was excellent and the crew were friendly and helpful. Dave's has become my go to place for hot chicken.

I was in the area and starving so I decided to give these guys a try today. I can't say that I've tried "hot chicken" before so I was curious. I ordered the #3 meal which was 1 tender with a slice of bread, a slider and a side (I choose fries). I was sharing this experience with a toddler so I ordered the tender with no slide and the slider mild. Honestly, I was amused to discover that the difference in no spice and mild is that they don't sauce it at all if u order no spice. The mild sauce had "no spice" either and i found ... read more

After leaving a soccer game, we were famished! First time at Daves and overall it was pretty good. Its open late so thats a plus. The restaurant has lots of seating but the food takes some tome so expect a wait for your food. The chicken was really flavorful and had a great crunch. My husband said it was just okay but im all about hot chicken! I would like to see a sweet tea option here! Prices were fairly reasonable and the food portions were generous. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would absolutely go again!

Food is great! Drive thru is painfully slow .... Needs to be fixed. No reason it should have 5 mins per car to order food.... There's no way to exit the line either once your in u are committed to 20 mins or more u less your the only car in line. This needs to be fixed
