TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Stopped by Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time after son begged me to go. Went to the Dale Mabry location and was surprised by the quality and taste of the food. With the plethora of chicken strip establishments in the area, I believe Dave's separates themselves with their unique hot chicken style. The chicken tenders themselves were huge. This Dave's location does me right EVERY TIME! The food is always hot and delicious, and the drive-thru moves quickly. Yesterday was especially awesome because the lovely Keisha was working the drive-thru and not only was she friendly and polite, but she hooked me UP! This is what I mean when I ask for extra pickles. I've seen this place online featured in Tampa Bay foodies TikTok and Instagram pages - I had to try it out, and it did not disappoint! I got the two tender mild chicken meal with french fries and a Diet Coke. The chicken was so tender and so tasty and their special sauce is amazing. Their fries were hot and crispy as well. It's definitely worth the drive to Tampa to try this place out! Service was really great and quick and there's a bunch of seating inside for a quick bite and they have a drive-through option.
Stopped here after my oldest daughter flag football tournament because this place was all over her Instagram. Not a fan of fried food but I tried and it was delicious The breading for the chicken has addictive spices lol. Now I understand the trend on Instagram. The sauces were so good. The staff were super kind and very friendly to my younger kids. Cute decor inside that was inline with"Hot Chicken" theme. Good thing we don't have one of these close to our house lol!
