We repeatedly gave information to the staff regarding our income and expenses. Unfortunately no one listened to what we said and only went on what your reports showed. There was an error in your report and no one paid attention to it despite us telling the staff about it the error. We found it very unsettling to have to repeatedly sign off on paperwork that had the wrong information in it, incorrect amounts, etc. We almost walked away from this loan at least 5 times. Getting in contact with Denny was very difficult. There were several instances where emails, text messages, and phone calls weren’t returned for several days yet we would receive numerous notifications to sign immediately while we were still waiting on questions to be answered or acknowledged. Just wish that when I was told what amount I needed for closing cost would be accurate. It went from 4000 to 6500 to 11000 to finally to 13000.

Never got a return phone call when the deal was delayed. Everyone involved in the transaction was less than happy with the lack of communication.

There was no communication from VanDyk throughout the entire process. Additional documents where requested last minute in several occasions. Our closing date was changed multiple times solely due to the lack of communication and incompetence of vandyk employees. This was the worst home buying experience have ever had. Vandyk almost made us lose our home because we went out of contract 4 times because of VanDyk’s inability to do their job. Even once a manager was involved, nothing changed!

I have been selling real estate for 20 years and every now and then have a bad experience with a lender and this was definitely one of them. There is absolutely no excuse to find out the day before closing that a deal is not going to close when you have had the file for a month! Granted you switched gears and were able to close, but there was no need for the stress this caused my elderly sellers. The title company also commented on your lack of response and they were not happy with you either
