When I started taking my dog there, I was assured that she would only be put into a kennel for lunchtime, from about 12-1.Afterall, this place is advertised as CAGE FREE DAYCARE. However, I would pick her up from daycare at different times throughout the day watch on the camera as she was brought out of a kennel. I was given different excuses, and even talked to the owner. He informed me that 'they weren't that kind of place", however, when I pick up my dog at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, or 6pm, and she is being removed from a kenn... read more
To whom it may concern, My husband and I were traveling to Las Vegas with our Yorkie Higgins and chose your establishment as his "hotel" for the four days we'd be in town. I should have went with my gut feeling when we dropped him off the Sunday night we arrived after we had terrible customer service upon arrival. I felt as if the employees were standing around waiting for us to leave so they could go home. They gave us no information and basically grabbed him and took him away. I asked if we could walk through the fac... read more
If I could give Doggie District a zero, I would. I was very upset with the level of customer service and care they gave my two Labrador Retrievers. I first used Doggie District for an overnight stay to try them out and everything was fine. When I picked up the dogs, they were happy and tired. I booked Doggie District again, but this time for seven days. I dropped off my two labs with the perfect amount of food to last for seven days and feeding instructions. When I picked them up, they looked almost emaciated. I cou... read more

Crystal: Hi Crystal thank you for your feedback. We wanted to take the time to clarify a few things mentioned in your review. First, we only feed dogs how we are instructed by each owner. Second, each feeding is logged and signed off by a Doggie District employee for accountabilty purposes. Many dogs lose weight while visiting our Pet Resort due to active play with other dogs. We apologize for your experience and we always welcome you back in to our Pet resort for a better experience.
i got one of those coupons of off living social. called them up to board my baby for 8 days. first they want an interview with the dog..WTH?? if your going to make potential clients checked out before the stay then why do you put prepaid coupons on living social. the girl on the phone has absolutely no phone etiquette, she kept on interrupting me. And the whole "no problem" at the end...please i am giving you my good $$ of course it's no problem. how about a thank you instead? the place is filthy and there is no way in hell... read more

Hi Kris thank you for your feedback, as we take these reviews very seriously. We want to let you know that we take the time to interview all dogs to ensure the safety of our dogs. Because of the active open play, we have to look at aggressiveness of dogs and the ability to play with others, as safety is our number one priority. As far as the cleanliness is concerned, we clean throughout the day and mop several times each day. We also clean each kennel every time a dog comes out to ensure they return to a clean kennel. Took my dog there for an overnight stay just to check it out before I went on a longer vacation. Staff was friendly enough and asked for shot records. They were supposed to contact my vet and get them from there but apparently never did. When I dropped my pup off for the second time, this one for a longer stay, they asked for shot records again and still didn't have them from the original stay. Should have been red flagged at that point. When I picked my dog up after the weekend they gave me his freshly washed blanket, whi... read more

Hi Alisha, thank you for your review, We value the opinion of our customers and have made management changes since you posted your review. I wanted to take the time to clarify a few things you mentioned in your review. One of our policies is that we wash all articles brought in by owners regardless if they are used or not. We realize k9 cough can be picked up by any dog regardless if you are visiting our Pet resort or visiting a dog park, but we certainly make sure each dog is properly vaccinated before we take them in. ... read more
I've never felt so strongly about somewhere that I had to go out of my way to write a bad review and warn others to not use a certain service....however this is a must in order to help people avoid this horrid experience I had with this place! I was out of town and for the first time having to leave my precious little Chihuahua at a boarding facility as my husband would also be out of town at the same time I researched many places and had heard good things about Doggie District so we thought we would give it a try. Upon my h... read more

Hi Sara, We certainly apologize for this incident as this was a complete accident and is something that never occurs inside our location. We require all dogs to be leashed upon entrance and exit to ensure this type of accident does not occur. We also keep the gate closed all the time to prevent accidents like this from occuring. Was your dog on a leash? Again, we feel this ia an isolated incident as nothing like this has ever been reported from this location before.
Not sure yet,...leary because of the reviews but, its on the way to work....Sonny had his free interview yesterday for 3hrs and seemedokay ut, they lied about putting out the kiddy pools. I looked in the back and he was dry but, the went inside and he came out wet so did he get hosed down or what? Not sure.... Today he pee'd when i came to pick him up from his first official day....called but noone could tell me anything because the guy earlier left for the day...that sucks...
I would never go back. I was in town visiting and decided to try this place for a doggie groom. They quoted me $25.00 and made my appointment. My baby was ready as promised however... I asked the groomer about her services, his teeth, etc. She said his teeth were " OK " and that he was a good boy. In the end, his teeth were still dirty, breath stunk and they charged me $5.00 over what they had quoted me. When I reiterated that I was quoted $5.00 less... they insisted. I don't know, just kinda shady..
Business response:
Hi Joanna, thank you for your review. At Doggie District Pet Resort, our grooming packages are at a set cost and teeth cleaning has always been an additional $5.00 charge. We apologize if this wasn't comminicated to you in advance, but we welcome you back in our pet resort for a better experience.
I would not recommend this location. When I picked up my dogs they were shaking and not acting like themselves. My small dog who weighs 15lbs, lost 4lbs over a 4 day stay with them. Both of them got very ill and I ended up taking them to the vet, turns out they had kennel cough (pneumonia), which I understand can happen sometimes. When I picked them up it was like they couldn't wait to get me and my dogs out of there. Nobody spoke to me or could tell me anything on how they did during their stay. When I called the first time... read more

Thank you for your review Amy. Because we promote active playtime for each dog, we often see dogs lose weight when leaving our Pet Resort. We certainly apologize that your dog caught k9 cough while visiting Doggie District, we do know that dogs can catch k9 cough anywhere, but we ensure each dog is properly vaccinated before entrance to our establishment.
