Sad to say this company seems to be very unprofessional and unresponsive. I have been trying to tour a property for over a week now and to no avail. I would input my availability and they would deny it and offer another time that is unsuitable with my schedule. I have tried multiple times to request a showing as I really want to see the property and apply but this company has shown to be unprofessional and seemingly uncooperative. Best of luck to the people who try to work with this management company!
Doorstead is one of my biggest mistakes, the web portal doesn’t work. They don’t set up an interview with you to talk about and get to know the house. My house has been on the market for 33 days and still no leads or applications. It is best to hire an independent realtor.
Only had one question, will they take a dog with an additional deposit, and it took several days to get a response. The only thing you can do is schedule a viewing, and the person, Paul, at the viewing was unfriendly, unhelpful and condescending. He didn’t even introduce himself but only discussed how we made two appointments by mistake. Almost impossible to get a response to a simple request for a tour. Finally got an appointment and it was canceled 10 minutes later. When I followed up they said “we are unable to schedule tours at this time.” No idea how they operate a business
Do not use Doorstead in the Houston area. They will ignore requests to tour your property & send comps to lower your asking rent from a different zip code. When I reached out to their customer service they tried to make up a response. I cancelled after three weeks & rented my house myself in one day for the asking rent. Renter said they had reached out & no one replied before my contact was listed.
I would give Doorstead not only a 0 star if I could, but also the owner of the property, 4609 Bexley Village Dr in Land O Lakes Florida. My significant other and I applied for this home a month ago. We paid our fees and viewed the home. There was very minimal and inconsistent communication from Doorstead. Also not communication from the owner. This company is currently listed to help find a tenant. There is a significant delay when uploading updated pictures, changes to wording, in the amount of days, not the 3 hours they claim. Also, there have been several times when their communication is subpar on their end. They removed my listing due to “not having instructions for a lockbox”. I had to take a screenshot of where I had uploaded them and sent that back to them in an email response, not to mention when I gave the same instructions and pictures to two other empl... read more
Horrible management, we rented from them in the Bay Area, and any maintenance issues would take weeks and months to resolve. They do not communicate closer to the move out date, and eventually declined to give our deposit back
my experience with Doorstead was horrible. I went to a showing for a unit in San Francisco and when I got to the unit, the property manager was late. When he showed up, he cannot find the key in the lock box. There was not a lock box. Then he said that he would call me back later When he found the key. The property manager ended up texting me back telling me that the owner to no longer wanted to rent the unit. I feel like I was discriminated against. I took off my job.
