Today was also quite rough but certainly an improvement from Days 2 and 3. I spent most of the day moaning in bed because I’ve had a throbbing headache focused on the right half of my head, pain behind my right eye, a blocked right ear, and feelings of nausea. I thought I was going to vomit about an hour ago but luckily did not. I’ve also been getting quite dizzy even while sitting in bed, but hopefully this is the turning point in the week. I managed to eat some salmon sashimi today in addition to my standard Jell-O / apple... read more

I feel like I’m a day or two behind most people’s healing process with this procedure, which has been very frustrating for me . :( Luckily, I know I’m almost at the finish line, at least in terms of my first recovery week and getting the cast off and splints out. First thing I noticed this morning was that my eye swelling went down, A LOT. It also physically moved down, to the bottom of my cheeks and to my jowls. Because of this, my cheeks were so chubby and I had a huge double chin all day. My face felt very hot today and I... read more

Yesterday (Day 2, one day post-op) was a rollercoaster of pain and emotion so I didn’t have the energy to post an update unfortunately. But in summation: I woke up yesterday with slightly swollen eyes, but overall felt pretty good. As the day progressed though, my eye swelling got drastically worse to the point where I could barely open my eyes in the evening. I had to sleep at an 85° angle all night because when I dozed off for a bit at about a 45° angle, my left eye became so swollen I couldn’t even open it. That definitel... read more

Just wrote the longest review ever that of course got deleted when I went into another app on my phone :( but hopefully what I write now is more concise. I just had my surgery with Dr. Grigoryants this morning. Before writing about the surgery itself, I want to provide some context as this is my first review. Last month, I did an email consultation with Dr. Grigoryants so that I could go ahead and book a surgery date. At the time, the next available surgery was September 6, which I booked, but I requested to be placed on a w... read more

I’ve always been very self conscious of my nose. I had a large dorsal hump, large nostrils and a bulbous tip. I found Dr. Grigoryants about 5 years ago and immediately felt that his work stood out above the rest. He does many cosmetic procedures but a large majority of the work he is known for is his incredible rhinoplasty. I live in Arizona and couldn’t find any surgeons in my state who had pages and pages of perfect noses on their website like he did. I followed his work closely over the years and finally saved up enough t... read more

Day 4 swelling is starting to go down, I can finally feel my nostrils when I remove the gauze. It’s starting to drip clear yellow instead of blood. Bruising is going down and turning yellow completely on my left eye and just starting to do so on my right. No pain just uncomfortable today, I can feel the secretions drip down my nose which grosseeeesssss me out. Still taking arnica religiously which I truly think has helped me a ton. Starting eating solids today, I definitely can’t taste anything and the chewing process was no... read more

But the casts off so that’s progress lol so I’m crazy swollen and look like an avatar but wow I see a huge difference already! Was finally able to far s shower today and smelled something for the first time since surgery, my husbands cologne never smelled sooooo yummmyyyy! So excited to start to see the swelling go down, I’ll continue to take arnica to help. Taping is directed at night only for a month. I’ll put pictures of my avatar face and ... read more

Swelling is starting to go down and bruising is starting to turn yellow, pain comes and goes between a 2-3. Overall not too bad at all, asides from the sneezing and coughing. Still bleeding pretty frequently and changing the gauze out about every 2-3 hours depending how long I’m on my feet for.

Day 2 has been followed by extra swelling, more so because I keep coughing and sneezing which the hospital said was normal. Pain is still pretty minimal, I just feel pressure in my nose. Pain is between 2-4 all day long today, no more headache though. Was able to start eating soft foods.
