After a little hiccup in communication the service techs were here a day earlier than expected to make our lives a whole heck of a lot easier. One of the shaft springs had broken in half and would not allow the 18 foot double door to open under tension. The repair techs were able to affix a small spring block that allows the two broken ends of the spring to seat into the holes in the block that has two set screws which tighten against the broken ends. Jacob did an outstanding job replacing our springs and other old and frayed parts to make our door now open smoothly and quietly. We are very pleased with the outcome. He is very knowledgeable and came out the same morning I called.
They were here very fast to replace a broken spring. Also replaced old and fraying cables on both sides which were very thin and fraying.
