Save your money. They go above and beyond not to pay. Huge waste of time and money to trust any insurance company.

I have been with another Pet Ins,which was rated very high, but their Customer Service was HORRIBLE! EMBRACE INS is such an improvement!

If I could give them no stars I would. The stringency at which this company uses to cover your pet is above and beyond the worst imaginable. Everything falls into some sort of waiting period or plan out they just come up with some excuse to not cover the issues.

Business response:

Hello, I apologize that you were not satisfied with your Embrace policy. Unfortunately, all policies have a 14-day illness waiting period, which means any abnormalities noted within the 12 months prior to the policy start until the end of the 14-day illness waiting period, will be listed as pre-existing. If you have and additional questions, please let us know.

This company starts reasonable then increases premiums to $4000 a year for my dogs. Totally out of control. They had to file for a legal exemption because they increase premiums every year by 30% and this isn’t allowed in NJ. The customer service people are so nice and clearly not very smart or part of the scam. Stay away from this company they are the worst and now my pets can’t be insured. :(

Female pug and they have run me up and down and not pay the bills because they want to do a review every one of the dogs everybody wants a dog this is insane again today I have them from the vet so there will be no misunderstanding no more lies

Business response:

Hello, I apologize for the confusion with your policy. I do see what we have received one claim for your pet with a date of service of 2/24/22, this claim was set to pending in order to complete a medical history review for Christmas Eve. In order for an illness claim to be processed, we have to determine if there are any pre-existing conditions. We are still missing Christmas Eve's exam notes for prior to Feb 2021. Once we receive these exam notes, we can complete her medical history review. If you have any additional quest... read more

This company does not pay your vet bills and finds every crazy excuse to not pay you. The last excuse was. Your puppy is on HP dog food so we will not pay for any ear infections, allergies or dermatology bills because she eats Hp dog food. Embrace will not reimburse me for an allergist appt because that has to do with an ear Infection 6 months ago. She had a clean bill of healthy. No ear infection or yeast but won't pay because of the dog food that she eats. Totally bring ripped off with embrace.

Business response:

Hello, I apologize for any confusion there has been with your policy. When we review a policy for pre-existing conditions, any abnormalities that are noted prior to the policy start date (within 12 months prior) to the end of the 14-day illness waiting period, are listed as pre-existing. As **** was noted to have an ear infection as a pre-existing condition, it excludes future dermatological conditions from coverage including allergies. Ear infections are commonly seen when a dog has an underlying allergy, which is why they ... read more

No one should have to worry about a dog being sick and how much the vet charges. Yes, the vet sells wellness, but it never includes the prescriptions etc.. the anesthesia on a dental. The vet tells you there is an annual dental - but fails to tell you the Anesthesia is your responsibility at $80 a pop. No caps on what it will pay other than the 90 percent or 80 percent level you choose, whereas other insurance companies cap at reasonable and customary charges.

Business response:

Thank you for your kind words!

Not enough information given when you join this company. Then when you send in claims, they aren’t covered, because nothing had been told to you from the beginning. I had to get more coverage to the tune of almost 50% more. Hardly any reimbursement. Not worth it!

Business response:

Hello, I apologize that you were not happy with your Embrace policy. When a policy is first purchased, there is an initial email that is sent with all of your policy documents explaining all of your coverage. If you have any additional questions regarding previous claims, please let us know! Sincerely, Steffan* ******* RVT Senior Lead Claims Adjuster
