If I could give Embrace a zero stars I would. I feel like I've been scammed for my money. I submitted a claim in the beginning of Oct. it is now feb.25 and embrace has not decided if it would cover the submitted claim. I have been very patient with embrace, I called them several times to ask about my claim and although the staff is very nice they are not very helpful. As I read reviews they seem to have a MO, They say they have requested records from your vet and that it is the vet who is taking a long time to send the recor... read more
I sent them a pre-certification form for my dog's Cancer surgery. They sent the form back approving the surgery in the amount of $3,769.43. These were they're exact words when sending back approval on 02/11/2022 This pre-certification is covered. Cue tail wagging I have reviewed Norman's recent pre-certification, ***********.Regarding Norman's: Accident or Illness Pre-certification: Norman's accident or illness estimate has been approved for coverage in the amount of $3769.43. Please note that you will only be reimbursed whe... read more
Business response:
Hello, I am so sorry for the confusion with your pet's pre-certification. Every pre-certification also includes an explanation of benefits that gives a break down on the potential refund, which this specific one explained that the policy had previously been maxed out. Again, i apologize for any confusion this has caused. If you have any additional questions, please let us know! Sincerely, Steffani ******, RVT Senior Lead Claims Adjuster
every claim i have had was paid promptly. no issues at all. people need to READ their policy.
Paid for insurance for one year and first time claim was when my dog ate something and got gastritis and had to be hospitalized for 1 day. Claim took a very long time to process about 60 days even after multiple phone calls to check on progress. In the end they denied. They claimed because my puppy had a history of bile vomiting in am due to empty stomach, that vomiting was a pre-existing condition. Just fyi some puppies tend to vomit in am if they eat dinner very early and we adjusted our puppies feeding schedule and that g... read more
Overpriced. Review procedure is impossible to overcome even if you have expert veterinary input to dispute their positions. Look elsewhere for your pet insurance needs.
I had Embrace Pet Health Insurance through ***** Embrace charged me $50/month to insure my pets health. when it came time to file a claim for HGE they denied coverage due to an unrelated pre-existing condition (Cushing's Disease) that had nothing to do with HGE. They told me to provide additional documentation showing that HGE and Cushing's Disease were two separate conditions and to appeal my claim so they could approve my claim. I provided documentation from my veterinarian that HGE and Cushing's Disease were unrelated and... read more
Whether you have a wellness claim or an emergency, Embrace promptly processes the claim. I simply upload the receipt to them and they reimburse me.
If it weren't for Embrace, my cat, Jasmine (aka Jazz) would have died from cancer. Jazz needed not only surgery bur followup radiation therapy to prevent the cancer from returning. Embrace reimbursed me for 90% of the costs just as they said they would.
Business response:
This is such a great story! I am so glad to hear that Jazz is doing well and was able to get the treatment she needed. We look forward to helping with all of future treatments. Sincerely, Steffani *****l, RVT Senior Lead Claims Adjuster
I only give Embrace one star because I have to. Zero stars would be more appropriate because this is a scam. I had a policy that I paid monthly premiums of $50 a month for 18 months. This policy did not cover preventative care which I thought was quite expensive but I stuck with it. When my dog had a back injury, Embrace would not pay $120 claim because they wanted all of the vet notes on the dog since I adopted him. The vet told me they provided the notes, Embrace said the vet did not provide the notes. It was on me to foll... read more
Business response:
Hello, I apologize for the frustrations with your Embrace policy. I did look at Malone’s policy and the claim from 11/2/21 has been set to pending as we have to review his medical records. Multiple requests were sent to Priority Pet Hospital and we have yet to receive these records. Once we are able to review his records, we can move forward with processing his claim. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us directly. Sincerely, Steffani ******, RVT Senior Lead Claims Adjuster
