As a customer of Embrace Pet Insurance, I have experienced nothing but disappointment and frustration. First and foremost, Embrace Pet Insurance has little to no customer service. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of a representative when you need one. There are always excessive wait times for their phone lines, and when you do get through, the representatives is less than helpful. They refused to take the medical record the animal hospital gave me and would not apply it to my claim. They wanted records directly from the emergency animal hospital. The animal hospital was already paid in full and doesn’t have anything to do with pet insurance companies. They expect the customer to submit the medical records. Which all other insurance companies follow that practice except Embrace. To get you to sign up they say filing claims is easy and just send all documents in. This company is very deceptive in how it conducts business. Very difficult to collect on a claim as they invent reasons not to pay. My Pet recently had to have surgery but instead of accepting the past 12 months of submitted veterinarian records they decided to require all medical records from birth! My dog was adopted from the Humane Society at age 3 and she is now 11 they contacted the Humane Society for all pet notes and have required all veterinarian visit notes from the day she was adopted 2015 to date of surgery in 202... read more

25% PREMIUM HIKE EVERY YEAR. When I called to inquire, I was told the average rate increases 25% at every renewal. A little detail the "friendly" sales agent omits, and website never mentions. "We'll consider it," I was told. This company operates on greed, full stop. AVOID.

My dog was seen at a vet for a possible ear infection on 12/4/2021. He was treated and released. My dog was taken to the vet on 2/18/2023 and I was told he is not covered because there is a 12 month waiting period. The gaps between the 2 vet visits is approximately 15 months which is much longer than the 12 month waiting period. Embrace is saying he wont be eligible for coverage until 2/18/2024. Very disappointed, I bought Pet insurance to protect the health of my dog when he was a puppy. Not only do the fight every charge but they also blame every ailment on "uncovered illness" even after the vet has made it clear that it was a new issue. You only have 60 days from renewal to submit any additional claims you may have forgotten for the previous year. Literally they have become the absolute worse! Currently, they seek to not understand plain English and when or if you get your vet the clarify information they simply ignore it. They don't want to cover my dog's dental because she has plaque. Dear Embrace pet insurance, I may be moving on to a bette company, one that simply will understand that everyone has plaque and paying thousands of money to ensure that my pet will be covered in the future. Embrace tries to put claims infinite loop by claiming not getting records. Communication is poor and pestering with auto-replies to bug my veterinarian for records. My veterinarian submits records, and guess what? Embrace claims they were never submitted, and the process keeps happening. Over, over and over again to void the claim and coverage. They have no problem taking your money for the monthly coverage fee.

My dog had surgery and I spend almost $6000 in the hospital. After I submit my balance statement and medical records to embrace pet insurance ! After 2 days they close my case with $0 reimbursement. I called them ask them why, they told me because I submitted balance statement not itemized invoice! I asked why they didnot call vet or did not contact me instead just close case with $0 and they know that my baby was sick and they know I paid $6000 !
