Oct 1- Oct 27, 2017---Most of the reviews seem to be good but I truly don't understand the few negative reviews? HealthSouth literally saved my life! I was stuck in a Skilled Nursing Center NIGHTMARE before they came and took me away. I would have died within another week for no good reason, had they not taken me in. They are aggressive in their treatment but that was a good thing! They had me walking out the door on my own after 3 short weeks! Our family member was an Inpatient at HealthSouth for 2 weeks - I realize this review may seem a bit over the top in platitudes but I sincerely have nothing but high praise for this incredible facility. Doctors, Nursing Staff, CNAs, Therapists, other support staff including transportation, and even the food are all outstanding. From the moment our family member was picked up by HealthSouth for transport, he received world class care. My mother in law was being transferred to a longer term care unit and Health South was first taking her to the surgeon next door and then to the new facility. Somehow the Dr's kept all the transfer papers and I had to go back and get those before she could be admitted. Then we were missing RX's and it just became a big nightmare. All this time the transport team stayed with her until she was finally admitted 2 hours later. I am currently a patient here at HealthSouth, Jeffrey 's location. What a difference from the 'death trap' hospital -Sunrise -I transferred from! Amazing staff, wonderful care, terrific food- yes, terrific hospital food. Dr. Kamala was efficient, personable and actually listens to the patients. I have 10 more days here and because of the excellent care I am receiving? I expect to be hopefully almost %100. They understand how serious my injury is, monitor me carefully and don't let me over do it. Wonderful facility. I don't ... read more
