After a week in the hospital from a cerebral stroke, I was given the opportunity to choose where I wanted to work my way back to to health. I chose an acute rehab facility, Encompass Health, in Modesto, California, mainly because it was near my son. Little did I know what a fortuitous choice I made. This facility has great care! My relative was here for 3 weeks. The care he received was great, he enjoyed all the staff and all the therapies. Really helped him make progress! The case managers do not communicate well, and I had to call them, they never called me.

I just finished being at Encompass following a hip replacement with complications. The staff, therapists, nurses and doctors were fantastic and made my recovery much easier than I expected. My ten day stay was planned out with my goals and their care each day with three hours of therapy a day 6 days a week. The one on one therapy working with therapists that care , friendly and each going out of their way to make my stay and recovery successful. I totally recommended anyone needing Acute Rehabilitation to use Encompass!

My mom was recently transferred to Encompass from another facility in Modesto, after having hip surgery. Her experience was very satisfactory. She felt like the personnel is very professional and attentive to the patients needs. Very clean facility, meals always on time and good, good gym and equipment for rehabilitation needs. This is the best rehab hospital in Modesto, bar none. Extremely well trained, talented, hard working and caring staff make this rehab a place you want to be, not a place you want to get away from. It's clean and safe, and I'd recommend it over any other rehab hospital in Modesto. If they tell you not to try to get in, or that they are full, or that they won't except you, that's nonsense. Talk to the people at Encompass and figure out a way to get your loved one there.
