I was taken to Encompass after spinal surgery It was without my permission, and they did not even consider that. It's nice on the outside, but very spartan on the inside. The rooms do not have any chairs I would have killed for a recliner as the beds were extremely uncomfortable. No housekeeping on the bedding either. I complained and I was given an air mattress type.--worse yet. If you sit up, you end up on the hard bottom. I am very sad to say encompass health has gone down hill. It used to be a wonderful facility. The Nursing care is horrible. Every time I visited my mother the sounds of unanswered call lights ecohed through the halls non-stop. Instead of helping my mother get to the bedside commode, they had her urinate in diapers, so then a CNA could deal with the diaper change. This went on for at least 4 or 5 days, until I was able to visit and discovered the poor and undignified care she was receiving. I asked for her bedside commode t... read more

All I have to say to anyone thinking about putting anyone they love into this place please from the bottom of my heart please DO NOT!!!! If your family member needs anymore care then straight PT or OT this is not the place!!! I have been in and out of hospitals for many years due to sick family and this place is by far the worst!!! Everything that all the other reviews say is absolutely the truth. The social worker had no clue what her real job was, and the Doctors will only give you run around stories, and the weekend nurse... read more

Our family member was at Encompass for several weeks recently after a stroke. We all know that due to Covid, there are no visitors allowed, so we visited through the window. On the weekends, you can hardly get anyone to answer the phone, so you can speak with a patient. They told us that they were "working on it." The phone would just ring and ring and ring. Our family member was at Encompass for several weeks recently after a stroke. We all know that due to Covid, there are no visitors allowed, so we visited through the window. Please do not let your loved one admitted to Encompass rehabilitation. Staff is highly unprofessional and unresponsive and rude. All they care about is billing your patients insurance for the stay regardless of treatment. One of my family was admitted to this hospital. One evening they transferred him to modesto hospital without notifying us. We came to know when we went to see him and when we looked through the window he wasnt there.
