I have been taking my Dogs here for years. Dr.Barbara Lee and staff are the absolute best! If they weren't...I wouldn't be back. They are all caring and compassionate..and don't play into the games other vets I've been to do example: "Well..it could be an allergy...or cancer". Take your pets here..you will not be disappointed!
I took my baby coco here due to her increasing sensitivity to her ears. They were so prompt in calling me to get me scheduled and I actually woke up late on the day of the appointment and they still fit me in for an appointment same day. I found out coco had a yeast infection inside both ears. The doctor, Amaro was so nice and didn't mind answering every single question I had (which was about 1000). I am giving Dr. Louie 5 stars because he has always been a caring, patient, knowledgeable Vet who doesn't try to sell us on the unnecessary medication for our four-legged kids unless needed. I have a 5 year old female shiba (that Dr. Louie spayed when she was a pup) and a 4 month male shiba that have been cared for by Dr. Louie. I will be going here again to get my pup fixed because I ONLY trust Dr. Louie. I have experiences with other vets there (i.e Dr. Matre) who IMO was not as professional and caring as Dr. Louie. Best Veterinary Office in San Jose - I've been bringing my cats & dog here for years. Nicest and most friendly - everyone on staff has been so sweet with my animals. I've lived in the San Jose area all my life and have been to about three other vet offices, all okay - but this is my favorite.
We recently moved from Evergreen to Sunnyvale, so I wanted to change our vet to somewhere nearby (there is a vet clinic within a walking distance of our home now.) I called Evergreen Vet Clinic to see if I could have the records of our dog faxed to me. They gladly faxed them to me in a few minutes. This reminded me of why we liked them so much, and prompted me to come in and write this review about them. My family and I have been taking our pets there for many years. In 2007 our beloved 17 year old cat, Pepsi, was at her last days and the staff with the direction of Dr. Arvizu allowed her last moments with us be very peaceful. I cannot tell you enough, how compassionate everyone is there. With our dog, Mojo, the care continues to be fantastic. I had to put my 17-year old cat down last night. Obviously, it was an extremely painful decision. But the staff at Evergreen was so caring. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.
I've tried other vets in the area and even the affordable clinics but sometimes you really have to think about what's worth it to you, your pet's health or being cheap. I own 3 dogs and like the saying goes; the cheapest part of owning a dog is buying it (I might have the saying wrong, so feel free to correct me.) I have been coming to Evergreen Veterinary Clinic for 2-3 years now for a variety of checkups, emergencies, nail trims, vaccinations and thus far cost is average. I took one of my beloved chihuahuas here recently when she had a seizure. I called my vet, found out he was out of town, and was recommended to this place by the receptionist. I called them and got a last minute appointment for 15 minutes later! One star for flexibility. The other three stars are for the doctor that we saw. I can't remember her last name but I believe her first name was Amie. She was so sweet, she really took her time with Bella's examination and explained everything very thoroughly to me.
