I have been taking my dog to Evergreen Vet Clinic for 5 years now. The clinic is very clean and modern and the staff and the doctors are caring and attentive. Prompt service when you make an appointment which is great when you have an overly hyper doggy. The doctors my dog seems to respond to are Dr. Avizu and Dr. Amaro. When my puppy went home after surgery, the vet actually returned our calls at 11PM! UPDATE April 29, 2010 Much better experience this time! Still expensive. Although this place is very nice and everybody is very professional I have to give this place one star. Hubby and I have a puppy who has been seen here many times. We started coming about two years now and every time we come in here we both feel rushed, we do not even get to ask all the questions we have. I brought my guinea pig in to the evergreen clinic when she had an ear infection. They agreed to see me right away and the exotic animal specialist was very thorough while examining her and even though ear infections are very typical in pigs, he really took his time with her to examine her whole body and health. The bill was just over $80 which included the price of the examination and two different medications and is a lot lot more affordable than vca. The employees were also very warm and caring. I highly recommend them!
This is a great vet. We've been bringing various animals here for about 10 years now...from akitas, to cats, to now a lab, and a chihuahua mix, we've always gotten great service. We used to have akitas, a mother and a son, and when they started to get on in years, they developed tumors. There was no vet that was able to help us out with them except for this one and we have been coming here ever since. Teeter tottering between 3.5 and 4 so I'll just leave it at 4. We've been taking our dogs here for years and years.. 16 years I'd say? First it was Goofy. Poor Goofy lived to be ~15 or 16 years old and passed away in 2007. RIP Foofy. :( Then it was Rocky. Poor Rocky is so old, ~14 years old and still fighting the good fight. I have been coming here for years with all my rescues, and they have been seen by Drs. Amy Lee Rodda, Steve Amaro, and David Louie. Each of the dogs has their preference...one of the girls loves tall blonde men, and one of the boys prefers sweet and gentle women. The other boy doesn't care who his vet is, but sits on hubby's lap the entire time trembling with his tail between his legs. I never owned a pet (aside form fish) until a couple years ago. I adopted 3 year old black labrador from San Martin and just about fell in love with him. I don't know much about dogs, so when he had a seizure for the first time, i FREAKED OUT!!! I had no clue what to do. I tried rubbing his belly for a while. tried giving him, water, feeding him, nothing. He was just flopping back and forth on his back. That was one of the scariest moments of my life. Check up price is a little higher than other vet clinic around the area but the staff here are very friendly. My bf and i took our little gizmo here this morning and Dr. Amaro was super sweet and very gentle with him. Next time he needs a check up im asking for Dr. Amaro because hes extremely knowledgeable, took his time and didn't rush through the appointment, which i really appreciates and even give our little gizmo hugs n kisses =]
I have had only good/positive experience at Everygreen. In response to the reviewer who complained that he only wanted shots but ended up paying for an exam as well, my guess is that that would be the case everywhere. The vet would be remiss if he/she just gave shots (whatever they are) just because the patient/pet owner said the pet needed them. That the vet did not say there was anything wrong is GOOD NEWS.
