This vet clinic stucks! I will be writing a review on every review website warning others away from here. A friend of mine took their dog there. They found a clog in his lg. intestines and he was bleeding from his rectum. The doctor cleaned him out, took an x-ray, and sent him home saying to watch him for a few days. He died 9 hrs. later. They didnt give them any other options (operation, etc.) and he died! They also charged over $500 and they said they wouldnt give their money back. It was awful. He was a wonderf... read more
My dog went in for Constipation, 8 hours later it died. Barney was a 2 year old pup, my best friend. I loved him so much. We took barney to this hell hole after a few days of no BM. The doc looked at him, gave him an X-ray and anemia and said..he will experience bloody BM its going to be a messy night for you so put some pads down, and if he doesn't getting any better by Tuesday bring him in. The only reason that we (my fiancee and I) are giving Evergreen Veterinary Clinic two stars instead of one is that we only saw two of the vets here and believe that (based on the other reviews) the other veterinarians that practice there could be very good at what they do. What didn't we like about Evergreen? Of the two vets we saw there, both gave us the impression that they were in a rush and had better things to do than to hear about our pets' ailments. Dr. Metra ran a blood test on my dog and THEN told me that it was too soon to tell from the test if the medication she put her on is damaging her liver!!! WHY BOTHER RUNNING THE TEST, "DOC"???? Another couple of hundred down the tubes, another stressful appointment for my dog, and for NOTHING!!! My first indication of this place's ineptitude was years ago when I took our cat in. When I was having problem with my puppy , I was lost when it came to finding a Vet. I read some reviews & picked one out. I am glad I did. They took care of my baby like it was there own. ( Yes my baby & I dont give a shit if dudes call me a p___sy) They informed me of options, What the problem was & showed me how to do things at home on my own. ( Even an I.V. ) They were great & I am glad I found them.
I paid $59 for a "check-up" which consisted of the doctor petting and looking at my puppy. my main concern was fleas, and he told me my puppy didn't have fleas. i already had a feeling he didn't have fleas because i researched online and assumed so already. i was concerned because i had some kind of flea bites all over my body, so that's why i was asking about fleas. the doc said he didn't have fleas.. but i may want to put my dog on some kind of flea medication... Really expensive! I've wanted to take my dog here (because it has good reviews and good location) and everytime I call to make an appointment, their prices scare me *sigh* and I end up not going here and choose the cheaper alternative (with equally good ratings and review): the east hills vet.
We have two bunnies that we have gone to Calaveras clinic for and they take wonderful care of them, spend the time to understand what our needs are, etc. We recently moved and got a new puppy. Since we are a bit far from CVC now, we wanted to find someplace closer for both the pup and our bunnies. went tp this place cause my Vet office was closed I will NEVER GO back they are all about money........I met with the Doctor for a brief moment than he was gone but they were happy to give me my bill...The stuff they billed me for wasnt even the reason I went in for Never again will I step foot in this place
