This clinic really is extremely overpriced. For a standard visit it is $59 during weekdays and $89 on the weekends. We made an appointment to have a physical exam for my Yorkie, but Dr. Susan Matre petted my dog and not even an X-ray was taken. We were concerned that my Yorkie was pregnant and the Dr. sent us home saying that there is no way for them to know for sure. You have got to be kidding me, $59 for an appearance fee? Extremely unhappy.
Very nice and caring on the surface, but not in practice, unless you don't mind your pet having to be put down because of professional neglect. Read all the other reviews here about how caring they were in having other beloved pets put down. My 13 year kitty I brought in Monday morning, because she was listless, not eating, and had not gone poo in 3 days. She had been relatively fine previous to Friday night. I was very worried, wanted blood work done, and asked about the constipation problem. The vet would not respond to m... read more
I brought in my cat twice. I had appointments for both, but waited for 40 minutes. And 15 minutes in the exam room. What is the point of only appointment policy?? Also I felt both two doctors were obviously in a rush. I asked some questions to one of them(old lady), but she gave me a very short explanation and seemed not willing to explain. I went to another vet which was great and found out the cost of x-rays and surgery etc, was much expensive at Evergreen Vet. Another thing. The receptionists were busy chatting and ... read more
I first took my 7 yr old Yorkie here a few years back, maybe 2006, for a reduced-fee neutering. At the time, they convinced me he needed his teeth cleaned and tacked on $500 to my "free" neutering. I know Yorkies can have issues with their teeth so I did it. I've always fed him dry food and tried to take care of his teeth. I took him back for shots a few years later and nothing seemed amiss. Well with the licensing amnesty in SJ right now, I decided to go back since they have his records, etc. I felt like they know him... read more
I used to take my beloved furry child here, and I would not be coming back. They're constantly trying to get me to spend more money, and I feel like that's all they care about. When my dog was on his last days, they wanted me to bring him in and give him fluids. Fluids for what? They've already done tests on his blood, xrays, everything, and they couldn't find anything wrong with him. When I told them that I wanted to euthanize him, they said no, just bring him in for fluids. WTH? So I took him to an emergency clinic in... read more
I have only brought my dog to vets for regular shots, so I did not know what to expect in bringing my dog to EVC for a sudden outbreak on his nose. I had read on the Merck Veterinary Manual that the suddeness of the outbreak may indicate a spider bite, but the vet may want to do a biopsy to determine whether it was some immune system issue. The clinic was clean, although there was a lingering smell of waste. I was shown into a room promptly and the ladies at the desk were friendly and calming to my dog. The doctor came ... read more
My pet and I have visited Evergreen many times. While I'm not a big fan of vet visits, my dog is. The last time we went, I had to drag her in. She's a big girl, but wouldn't touch a treat. Before the vet-tech arrived, I heard someone call for a muzzle. My dog, a 9-year-old pit mix, has never done anything to anyone. If you hurt her during an exam, she will lick you. Anyhow. I heard her yelp in the back, she came back in a hurry, was tugging to get away. I wanted to ask the vet why they felt the need to muzzle her (if it was... read more
I only visited here once, so take my review with some salt. But I have to give a negative review for the following reasons: 1. Appointment was at 10:15am but wasn't shown in until 10:45am. I was anxious to get to work. 2. Waited a long time once in the exam room. While I was in there I could hear a woman wailing about her dog that died on the table. Her distress was very loud and persisted for the next half hour at least. I'll give the vets the benefit on the poor lady, but it didn't exactly make me feel well. Emphasis on ... read more
Today my dog went in because of Internal Bleeding. I woke up in the morning and was getting ready to give him his first meal of the day, but realized that he could not get up because something was wrong with him, so I rushed and called Evergreen Veterinary Clinic. According to the phone call their service was great but their URGENT CARE is HORRIBLE!!!!! Our family LOVED Buddy, he was about to turn two years old next Monday which is March 15, 2010. He was an Oldie English Bulldog. He was very friendly and cute. He loved to b... read more
