Clean yet tired The extended stay in Asheville, North Carolina was clean yet with no frills; no hair dryer, no unpackaged breakfast food. The rear exterior door (next to our room) did not lock; so security wise, it was not safe. A pick-up truck remained parked thru the night outside our room window with a man asleep in it- There was no one at the desk to answer questions or concerns. Stayed overnight here for the comedy festival, the hotel is nice and a lot cheaper than most in the area. There's an O'Charley's in the parking lot so that's very convenient!

Safe, clean, and convenient I went to asheville to drop my daughter off at college. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. It also appeared to be newly renovated with hardwood/laminate flooring. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located with a lot of restaurants nearby and just a few minutes away from the mall and also the UNC campus. I also felt safe, traveling as two females and leaving her entire dorm room loaded in my car overnight in the parking lot.

It works, but it's out of the way The hotel is adequate and serviceable, but out of the way and fairly distant from any attraction (though in a location featuring many other hotels). It's only neighbor is a good but expensive restaurant. We had to go several times to the front desk in order to get normal kitchen accroutrements - which the desk clerk should have given us (or at least told us about) when we checked in.

a good value A good price, a good location. Our room, though, was noisy - the people in the room above us sounded like they were running in place. Also, do note that daily maid service is NOT included (though you can get fresh towels from the front desk). The breakfast is minimal - coffee and muffins or a granola bar.

Hotel smells bad and room smelled like food and someone had smoked in the bathroom. The air conditioner easy leaking water.

Better places to stay in the area A disappointment. Some staff are arrogant. Did not feel welcome at all. Took hotel chain off my list. One saving grace was the one good staff person they had. Also had a nice desk to work.
