Mostly just the bad... The pool was tiny and was right near where they kept the pets so it smelled. Unless you like animals. The dishwasher was broken the entire time. We called the first day but it was never repaired during our stay. We stayed here even though it was only for 3 nights instead of an actual extended stay (which is what the place is). Homestead Peabody--AVOID I don't mind old, but old and filthy are not a good combination. I was really concerned about bedbugs here. It smells bad and is hard to get to. There were dried blood stains on the carpet, not even any attempt to clean it up. And not that I would have eaten it, but there was no breakfast as promised. Too much money for a very bad hotel.

Homestead Hotel - VERY DIRTY I stayed at the Homestead hotel in peabody, MA because I was told it was within 25 mins of Rockport which is where I needed to be early the next morning. That was the most accurate statement I heard while I was there. It took a little over 30 mins, which wasn't bad. What was awful was the very dirty hotel. I requested a non-smoking room and they put me in a smoking room that was filthy, the smell was so bad, there was a dirty fork in the sink, the carpets where all stained, the bedding had stains... read more

I wanted a non-smoking room which I theoretically was staying in, however the room wreaked of smoke and after only being in the room for several hours all of my things smelled as well. The hallways also smelled of smoke.

Disappointing Cigaret smell in hall of non-smoking floor. Smoke detector in room hanging from ceiling by wires. Hair ball on mattress pad of pull out couch. Blinket in room for pull out couch too thin.

This hotel was inexpensive but dated and dirty. The room was ok but very dated and dirty. Staff was friendly - provided a few menus and gave recommendations of nearby restaurants that delivered. Kids enjoyed the pool. Free breakfast was good. Hotel was located close to Salem, MA for Halloween festivities.

Poor Experience You can do better for the money. Glad I booked with Expedia, which provided me with an avenue to get some of the charges returned. Bathroom sink was clogged and a call to the clerk did not correct the problem, they said no one was available to address it! The next morning they had no record of the call...the bed was hard, the room was less than luxurious. Since the staff was not responsive, this was a total disappointment. Homestead Boston-Peabody The people who work at this hotel are extremely unfriendly. Continential breakfast only goes til 9, the hotel is really geared toward long stay working people, not families. We also had a problem getting internet code, even though we paid extra for the option. The room is nice and big, but my husband woke up with a huge ant crawling on him. Price was right, but I would not stay there again.
