We just needed a place to stay for the night and the price was right. However, upon arrival the service was definitely not up to par. The room was "clean" but definitely not to the standards you would expect. It smelled like week old chinese food, which led us to check all the cupboards to make sure food hadn't been left behind. The staff were very nice. The rooms were not the cleanest, my room in particular smelled like cigarettes. But I arrived so late to check in I didn’t want to make a fuss and go room hopping.

After checking in, I went to the room and pulled back bed covers, there was a live bed bug crawling between the sheets, I was totally disgusted. I got another room, but that room I found a bug and another centipede in bathroom. Ruined my stay the first night. Some of the staff were friendly and good.

Last Min. getaway It was an odor in the room, something had spilled on the wall, I had to clean, sheets had stains, went to get more sheets, more stains. the sink for the bathroom, had a sign do not use, the guy came up to fix it. Nice peoples work there, I just don't know what was the deal with room 317. Wi-Fi kept going out

Very convenient location in a walkable area The lobby has an unorthodox smell. The hair dryer and tower also smell bad. The carpet needs vacuum. We talk to the front desk to request some utensil and a coffee maker for our late night order, and she never follow through after the conversation. This is the worst experience I ever had for a trusted hotel brand

Don't get a room with the fold out couch! My friends and I came into town for a convention in Schaumburg and chose to save some money by going with the Extended Stay America. The desk staff were okay and the building was in generally good condition on the outside and in the halls. We got into the room, and aside from being outdated and dingy, it was a roof to cover our heads. I don't have the highest standards in that regard and wouldn't have rated it poorly for that.
