Extended Stay America, Madison Hts, MI What a disappointment. I arrived at the hotel at 11:15 pm after entertaining clients. I booked the room because of location and convenience plus a great price. I was not told that there may not be anybody working after 6PM! I do not understand how this hotel stays in business. Especially when no employees were on call to answer any calls not even redirected to an on call service. Finally an employee came out of a back room and took care of us. Convenient Location, low rates. The hotel was conveniently location for my travel purpose and the rates where low. But the room was not what I booked and it could have been cleaner. We found food wrappers and dirty socks under the bed. Staff was friendly but often outside having a smoke.

Worst hotel I've ever been to I travel for work, in an average year I stay spend 200 nights in hotels. And this was by far the worst hotel I have ever seen. Dirty, filthy, and poor service. It's less than 1/2 the price of the neighboring hotels. This is the kind of hotel that is too dirty for cockroaches to stay at. The maid service doesn't clean the rooms everyday. so sometimes you're left with the towels from the day before. And then there's never anyone at the front desk to request new towels from. poor dirty rooms rooms were dirty and bed was very uncomfortable; would never stay here again!

Room was dirty.... Had to ask for a clean blanket, it had stuff all over it.. Went and got the "clean" blanket, and it also was dirty.... Totally discusting, even the sheets had stains...

Never again when we arrived, the staff was not helpful. The desk clerk had the maid greet us and help us until she discovered we were checking in. There was trash in the stairwell the entire weekend, and it smelled terrible. The bathroom door handle came off in our hands and the door did not close properly. The room had not been vacuumed in a long time from the looks of it and the kitchenette had a funky smell. The furniture was old and tired, although the bed was comfortable. Dirty rooms, smokey smell in smoke free rooms I was really disappointed in this Extended Stay. Just stayed in one several weeks ago in Ann Arbor....wonderful experience. This one the walls and ceilings had huge cracks. No fan in bathroom...hard to get rid of steam from shower. Heard lots of noise around us, upstairs and next door. For being a smoke free room....very yellowed ceiling and walls. Burns marks ALL over the carpet from smokers. Kitchen was filthy dirty....I washed everything before I would even touch it. Interesting When i went i had a smoking room but i needed a tv with a AV controls for a DVD player.. But it took 1 1/2 days for them to change rooms then when they changed it was a non smoking room. Liked the one in Roseville better. . Dont think that i will ever stay at the one in Madison hgts again. The toliet was dirty.. The covers smelled like pee.. Not a good experience for me.

DIRTY Our Bathroom had about a full head of hair on the floor... there was a pizza box and pop left from the last people who stayed there.. this room was a mess. It was completely filthy. I felt more dirty when I got out of the shower then when I went in. I wouldn't stay here again... if I were you, I would spend the extra 10 dollars and stay down the street, this was BAD.
