Terrible Experience Where do start? The front desk couldn't help me get online. There were hairs in the sink, tub, and on the walls. The carpet was filthy and I did not want to walk on it without shoes on. This was the worst hotel stay experience I have ever had. I was a little miffed with Expedia as well, as I trusted them to do their homework, and until now have had satisfactory experiences. Please take this hotel off the "Expedia hotels" list!

Madison Heights Extended Stay - A bit too dirty Through my work, I have often used Extended Stay America, so it was a surprize to find this one so unsatisfactory. The facility has not been updated for at least 10 years. The hallway carpet was worn and dirty in spots. Our room, had scraped walls and wiskers at the back of the sink. Can't recommend Extended Stay -- Troy/Mad Heights CONS: Spiderwebs on the lamps and behind the door, 2 spider encounters, broken safety lock, missing fire alarm, lousy customer service. PROS: Location, but for a few dollars more per night, stay at the Mad Heights Best Western (~2 blocks away) where they let you know you're welcome, the hotel is clean, and internet access is included in the cost of the room. (Granted, you don't get the kitchenette.)

Extended Stay in Madison Hts MI This hotel is old and kind of dirty. It took me about 15mins to check in at the desk, and the appliances are old and need to be updated. The doors are old and stick, there is no fan in the bathroom and the water makes a weird noise while the shower is running.

Disgusting! My girlfriends and I decided to head out a day early for our weekend of Black Friday shopping, but the hotel we booked originally was full. So we decided this place would be alright for one night. What a huge mistake that was. My friends and I are not smokers. And in Michigan, the law changed back in MAY for all the rooms to be some-free. Apparently, at this hotel all that required was changing the sign on the door. The room stunk of old stale smoke. Average There was food on the floor under the bed and a lot of debris/dust. The room over my room was very noisy. My room was next to an entrance and very noisy.
