EH Staff was really nice and helpful, but the hotel itself was eh. From the outside it looks pretty solid...nothing too fancy but not a motel. On the inside it left much to be desired. We were just there to sleep and out for the day but if I had to do anything more than sleep and shower I would have probably complained. It just didn't have a very clean feel. It was very quiet though for having a packed parking lot at night.

Nasty Room. Bad Attitudes. The room was very dirty. Hard, rough towels. The staff was very rude and unprofessional and my room smelled like smoke. I would NEVER stay there again. NEVER.

Never again! I was not happy with the service.There's NO soap/shampoo in the room. Old Stains on the bed and the room smell moldy. I can't get a different room or any thing else from the front desk clerk.''.Sorry, I'm all out'' was her answer to all of my request. I can't even get a tiny soap to wash my hands I had to go buy it and I stay there 3 nights! guess I better go some where else next time.

Terrible Experience Where do start? The front desk couldn't help me get online. There were hairs in the sink, tub, and on the walls. The carpet was filthy and I did not want to walk on it without shoes on. This was the worst hotel stay experience I have ever had. I was a little miffed with Expedia as well, as I trusted them to do their homework, and until now have had satisfactory experiences. Please take this hotel off the "Expedia hotels" list!

Madison Heights Extended Stay - A bit too dirty Through my work, I have often used Extended Stay America, so it was a surprize to find this one so unsatisfactory. The facility has not been updated for at least 10 years. The hallway carpet was worn and dirty in spots. Our room, had scraped walls and wiskers at the back of the sink. As I pulled up the bed covers, I saw a spot of feces on the blanket. Can't recommend Extended Stay -- Troy/Mad Heights CONS: Spiderwebs on the lamps and behind the door, 2 spider encounters, broken safety lock, missing fire alarm, lousy customer service. PROS: Location, but for a few dollars more per night, stay at the Mad Heights Best Western (~2 blocks away) where they let you know you're welcome, the hotel is clean, and internet access is included in the cost of the room. (Granted, you don't get the kitchenette.)

Extended Stay in Madison Hts MI This hotel is old and kind of dirty. It took me about 15mins to check in at the desk, and the appliances are old and need to be updated. The doors are old and stick, there is no fan in the bathroom and the water makes a weird noise while the shower is running.
