Lacking Basic Customer Service Skills The price was affordable (cheap). That was the one upside to the stay. I arrived 2 hours prior to check in time and asked if they could get me in sooner. They said, "we'll call you as soon as it's ready." So, I sat in the lobby and did some work. An hour and a half later, I approached the same person at the desk and he had forgotten. Homestead Suites - Louisville (East) Checking in was easy, but the room was old and anequated. Bed was horrible. Outside the building aesthetically looked very inviting as well as the lobby and lounge area. The room was like a Motel 6 or Days Inn. Will not be staying there again. No more Homestead Suites for me. Do not recommend.

Jerry Springer show It is difficult to accurately rate this hotel entirely on its own merits because of the horrible experience we had 2/3 of our nights. We were on the first floor next to the parking lot. One night there was a loud domestic altercation in the parking lot. The next night there was screaming, fighting, and throwing of objects in the room above us at 3am. High Speed anything but! First, it is ridiculous to be billed $5 per stay for internet. To top it off, their high speed wireless internet is insanely slow and regularly boots you off. My average speed is 240 kb/s. Can you say dial up? Free breakfast consists of coffee and plain bagels-no condiments. TVs are horrible picture quality. Not pleasant for long stays.

Needs Improvement Although we called the day before our arrival to check on the status of the pool, we arrived and were told that the pool was not open. The two children that had been promised a swim after good behaviour on a car ride were very disappointed. We had also asked about what was included in continental breakfast only to learn at check-in that the breakfast was not available on weekends. Hotel also has smoking and non-smoking rooms across the hall from each other and the hallway reeks of smoke.
