Friendly staff and mediocre facilities I stayed at many Extended Stay America, in Houston, Dallas, Austin, and now Lubbock. Of all of these experiences, only the Lubbock ESA Southwest felt worn out and distinctly second rate. The rooms are dark and dreary, the bedding is worn and too small for the beds; the stench of stale cigarettes is everywhere; the traffic noise is incessant. The worst hotel stay ever! I have been in my share of hotels and this one will be with me forever. The hotel was not real clean. I didn't want to walk on the floors without socks. The next thing that I noticed was the bed. I have camped on cots that were more comfortable. I couldn't sleep for more than a couple hours at a time without my body starting to ache and waking me up. I would have said that it was just me and that I like a softer bed, but my husband who can sleep on anything was considering the floor. The other issu... read more
