Extended Stay Oregon and Chicago Stayed at 2 Extended Stay hotels. The first in Hillsboro, OR and the second in Lisle Chicago. Both were accommodating. Staff was nice at both places and the rooms were clean. However, both could use updates. At the first the lamp in the room needed repairs and was propped up behind the chair. Pots that we borrowed looked like they had seen better days. At the second one in Chicago the staff let us in after midnight when our transportation was delayed. I did have some roaches in the dinning area. Did manage to spray some insect killer and by Econ’s night didn’t see any. Maybe because my room was located towards the end of the hallway where the trash was being thrown. Other than that, it was a great stay.
Thin walls, a bit noisy The walls are very thin so there is a lot of noise from hallways or if someone talks loudly in another room. Fortunately, most guests were quiet at least by 11pm. Was in a nice area. The room was nice and roomy, comfortable bed. If you forget any toiletries, they have a lot of things available at the front desk.
