Nice hotel. Typical hotel experience, with the exception of 8 inches of snow in Portland. The sidewalks were shoveled promptly, making it easy to get to the car.
The room was clean and comfortable. It was as advertised, no surprises. Parking was not good. I would arrive at night, about 9:00, and there was not a parking space close to the building I was staying in. One night I had to park, within the hotel facility, a significant distance away, walking through not well lit areas. I am embarrassed to admit this, but another night I parked in a handicap spot. No Frills, No Surprises. Just what you'd expect from an extended stay-type hotel in this price range. We reported a couple of minor problems to the front desk at various times. The consistent response was a sympathetic, "OMG" and then absolutely no follow-up. Good thing the problems were minor!!!
I loved the area and the Rome was nice and cozy, the only problem i had was getting locked out of my room for 1 1/2 hours because i couldn't find any staff on site and the manager want answering her phone.
Just a mediocre place If you really wanted to do some cooking in the "kitchen", you would be seriously disappointed. What you are given is minimal. Initially we were given a broken toaster and it took hours to get a replacement as the desk person was too busy flirting with various men.
Hidden location Hard to find off I-5.got lost and had to turn around..
Room was clean but lousy "grab and go" breakfast and no coffee pot in room
Not worth the money we paid. Nothing in room(3 hangers), pillows were really uncomfortable, far from everything.
