Staff wonderful but area where hotel is located isn’t very clean or safe

The staff was amazing! Everything else was mediocre.
Okay hotel. Not sure we will stay again when we visit our daughter in college. Had problems with keys not working, water not hot for shower, very minimal breakfast not even cereal or bagels. And anytime we needed something at front desk, either not there or outside smoking. No hair dryer in room, luckily they had one at front desk. I did though appreciate stove top and provided pots and dishes.
