OK place - needs help The location was good - lots of places to eat and go to right around here. The hotel itself definitely needs some help. Everything is pretty run down, and nothing is upgraded. I was here by myself for the race weekend over at RIR - wouldn't be staying here if my wife and child were along. Got locked out of my room, and the desk person had to use her key-card to get in - the only one that worked. Room smelled weird - smoke/must. good prize when compared with the quality ,clean, quite,nice stuff
Nice for the price Needed a place to stay with easy access to Richmond Airport (RIC) in the morning. The price for this one was very reasonable and I truly expected worst conditions based on some of the reviews. To my delight the room was cozy, the bed acceptable, and a flat screen TV with a limited, but useful selection of channels that included 2 Showtime channels. Got to watch Dice, first episode! Hotel was nice. I didn't have any problems. Front desk was very nice.
One night get away I had a very good experience from check in to check out. The staff was very prompt and friendly. Since I've stayed on other occasions they were happy to take care of any special needs.

This hotel is great for family with pets. Receptionist at front desk was not friendly (not warm). room did not have enough towels and wash clothes when we checked in, when asking for more at front desk, I was informed I had to turn the ones in the room in. After I explained again that we did not have enough from the beginning, then she gave me 1 wash cloth and 3 towels. She told me she did not have any more wash clothes. Not bad for the price Not bad for the price, geared for those that stay for a week not a weekend.
Thank god we checked into the hotel early ... expedia overbooked the hotel and they didn't think they were going to be able to get us a room before the Race ! Thanks to the overly helpful staff at the hotel ,they figured it out and fixed us up a room . We felt sorry for the other people who didn't get to the hotel until after the race and had no rooms ...
