Great Value in San Mateo with Trade-Offs Extremely good value in substantially overpriced market. Hotel was tucked away in a business park, and difficult to find by both UBER and me. Room was very dark with only one small window facing out to a busy expressway. Be sure to request an inward-facing room to the interior garden and patio. Not great This was the 4th hotel we stayed in during our vacation to California and it was definitely our least favorite. The room had a funky smell so I ended up having to buy an air freshener. There was laundry facilities but $2 a load to wash and $2 a load to dry. They also have laundry soap and fabric softener but they are also $2 each per load so bring your own soap. The washer left soap residue on our clothing that I'm hoping when we get home I can get it out. I can't say anything specific that was dirty but the overal... read more

Great for pets, not for late night check in. First impression was pretty poor. I had spoken with the hotel and they knew we were coming late. We arrived at 11:10pm and the front desk was closed and locked. I didn't think we would be able to check in. There was a number to call for after hours but we could just hear the phone ring at the front desk that no one was tending. We weren't really sure what to do. extended stay hotel San mateo I liked the hotel location and price. The room was dark and the carpet old and worn. The bed was not comfortable and the air conditioner and heater directed air flow directly on the guests.

Good value for the Bay Area Right next to 101 so it was a bit noisy. No coffee pot but did have a small kitchen. No elevator and I had a large heavy suitcase that I had to carry up the stairs. Overall good value for the money. About 10 minutes from the airport. Would stay there again but book a room on the ground floor.

Did not meet expectations I was surprised at the hotel. It was no where near as nice as other ESAs had been or the price indicated. It smelled. Honestly, my was was a little concerned about staying there. We did not like it, especially for the price.
