Great Value in San Mateo with Trade-Offs Extremely good value in substantially overpriced market. Hotel was tucked away in a business park, and difficult to find by both UBER and me. Room was very dark with only one small window facing out to a busy expressway. Be sure to request an inward-facing room to the interior garden and patio. Not great This was the 4th hotel we stayed in during our vacation to California and it was definitely our least favorite. The room had a funky smell so I ended up having to buy an air freshener. There was laundry facilities but $2 a load to wash and $2 a load to dry. They also have laundry soap and fabric softener but they are also $2 each per load so bring your own soap.
