We did not end up staying at this property. At around 11:00am on the day of our arrival I received a call from hotel that they oversold and they were moving us "across the street to another Extended Stay". Was it better or worse? No idea but not thrilled with this process.
Bare bones Economically a good choice. Coffee was good.

Not Quite Up to Expectations The kitchen was not equipped at all unless you requested items. I stayed at a motel previously which had a small kitchen and all the items were provided, including a coffee machine and coffee pods etc. Also i` had to go down to reception with wet hair because there was no hairdryer available in the room. Nice to have access to a kitchen to cook; provided very basic pots / utensils. Very clean and reasonably close to U of MI campus. Close to mall if that is important to you.
