Front desk staff was pleasant during check in, once I got to my room it had a very strong smell, transferred next door and you it was a similar faint smell (some type of chemical) second room had lamps but only one worked, kitchen light very dim, cover needs serious cleaning and bulbs need to be replaced. I was afraid to use closet light as it had no cover, one working bulb which kept flickering. Old dog toys under the bed, refrigerator was dirty. I picked this hotel because of its proximity to Dulles. Proximity and commute-wise, that was perfect (easy 7 minute drive) The front desk staff was never there when I went in, and check-in took forever because he had to come back from wherever he was with no apologies. I never saw a staff to check out after waiting 10 minutes in the lobby while there was a TV blaring in the employees’ back room. 271 The room clean but smell of smoke. The AC was not running as good as I would like to be.
