Hot water would not work in room. Got switched to a new room. Door would barely open with key. Took several attempts to even get in. Free WiFi had no service in room. Staff nice and helpful however hotel needs lots of updates

I would not recommend this hotel at all! The check-in process was atrocious. They were completely disorganized and unprofessional. We ordered our rooms through Expedia and upon arrival they struggled to get us checked in smoothly. First they charged the wrong room to my brother’s card (a king charge for 2 doubles). They had to refund it and start over. This happened because the lady didn’t match the first name on his ID with the name on the booking. Just saw the same last name and went with it. Not a very good experience! Checked in at 5:30pm after a long day of driving—only to discover we had been put into a room without a working restroom. The front desk was very apologetic however, maintenance was gone and there were no other rooms available. My family and I ended up having to use the restroom in the lobby during our stay. On a good note, the manager was very nice and did refund quite a bit of stay. The employees are very nice however, I feel like some maintenance needs to be done around the facility.

Smelly rooms We requested a non smoking room. First room we were given smelled strongly of cigarettes. Front desk gave us another room and told us that sometimes guests still smoke in the rooms. Second room given to us smelled of cigarettes but not as bad as the first one, so we called front desk to ask for air freshener spray. It did nothing. My boyfriend then used the toilet. Go somewhere else. Didn't have cable when I got there, wouldn't fix it, made us move to another room. Rude, unhelpful and don't believe u get 15% off when you stay two nights, we were charged full price for two nights.

Water leaked through light fixture in the bath room and flooded the floor. I slipped and fell hurting my back when I went in the bathroom in the morning.

Retro is fine; but not rundown. The exterior walkways, etc. were unkempt. The first room was to be non-smoking but smelled of smoke, and the door required brute force to open. The second room was smoke-free and relatively clean, but the security lock hung loose by one screw. Too tired to request yet another room, we jammed a chair under the door knob and weighted it with a large suitcase.
