$100 Deposit Required for a 2 star hotel I was surprised that a 2 star hotel would require a $100 security deposit. It was an inconvenience that delayed my check-in. I prepaid for my room and yet I was still asked to make a deposit of $100. No signs were posted or warnings on their website. I try to avoid hotels that required such deposits. I noticed that several customers were shocked and not prepared to be forced to pay this deposit. My best friend had to send me a cash app or I would have been in big trouble.
