After reading the other reviews from yelpers, I decided against checking out other storage facilities in the area. I did look online for the rates in the area and Extra Space Storage had the best rates. Okay, seriously, I have never been a patron of a storage facility as cool as this one. I went here based on a yelp review about a month and a half ago. I was running out of room and needed some more space.. One thing that is very impressive is this company is extremely service oriented and seems to have it's priorities straight (the customers satisfaction is Number One!). My romance with Extra Space Storage just keeps getting better. I drove by today and noticed they were running a special on larger units. I haven't been in my unit for even a month yet, but I went in and inquired about the special. Within ten minutes we had signed paperwork, they transferred my year lease on my current unit over to a new, larger unit at the great promotional rate, and they did it all cheerfully and without any bureaucratic, we-just-work-here-the-home-office-won't-let-us-do-that mumbo jumbo. I checked out a couple other storage places in the area and they were all pretty dingy, open to the elements etc. I got a storage space at Extra Space which was clean and air conditioned. The first month was practically free, they have some setup fees and insurance stuff, but I think it's like 30 bucks. You can pay your account online too which is convenient. I think it might be a little more expensive than some other places but at least my stuff isn't covered with dust.

Do not get a storage unit with this company. I've been with them for years, and when I first started, my rent was under $400.00 Every seven months, they raise the rent, and now I'm paying $836.20 for the exact same unit. They claim they send a notice or card a month before the increase, but that is incorrect. I have never received a notice. They simply charge my debit card a higher amount without any warning. How does my rent go from $756.20 to $836.20 in less than six months? That's an $80 increase with no notice. I can'... read more

Rats! Rats destroyed almost everything inside my unit. To make matters worse, my father died in December of 2022 and I was storing his things that I haven't been able to go through. Now I have to go through everything and throw most of it away. I have a 5x5 unit and have been paying $190/month for years. I am heartbroken and beyond upset by the situation. The assistant manager at the Belmont facility on Harbor last year. I made a couple payments and I remember him telling me months ago. He says you're paid till February 5 why do you wanna pay anymore? I always pay my stuff down. i think you guys should have at keast 1 person on duty on holidays. i failed to out more things today because the walk in gate for people is locked thus i was not able to get in. and key in the access code
