I stored a travel trailer here for about 6 months. Front office staff was always friendly. I never had to worry about the trailer I felt it was safe here and never had a problem. I would definitely use them again.
The office staff are great and they are so nice, but the prices jump like crazy. They should lock the price for two years before raising again. The high price is their downfall, and it is out of control.
Rats in units. Units get unusually dirty. They raise the prices every six months it seems

SCAM ALERT - Monthly rate went up from $88 to $168 without any written notice 30 days prior the due date which I supposed to receive that was clear stated on the contract. I didn't find out about the rate increased until I was about to pay the bill 2 days before the due date. Because of that, I was not able to terminate the contract which required the customer to contact the rental location within 10 days upon receiving the notice before the effective day according to the Agreement. Literally doubled my rate for 5x5 storage. They still offer to new customers my old rate. Bye bye! I am moving out.

They literally steal your money. They encouraged me to prepay rent for 2 years so they would not raise my rental fees during this period. They assured me that if I leave during this time, they would reimburse me for those months not used. So, I prepaid rent for 2 years. But, left after one year. Now, after almost 2 months, they have not yet reimbursed me. They lied and lied. I escalated this to their headquarters. But nothing yet.. just more lies. Watch out ., they don't hesitate to steal your money.

They will literally steal money from your bank account. I foolishly used autopay for the monthly payment on my 5 x 10 storage unit, for about $100/month. I was going through my bank statement and notice a charge from ExtraSpaceStorage for $190. Hm. I looked over the prior month, and notice another charge for $190. Guys be careful. They will auto increase the rates without proper intimation I am paying 80$ per month and they increase rates to 149$ per month. They will not sent email or SMS. They will say that they sent mail to home. But I didn't receive it. Please read the documentation, which is not clear what they mean. They won't explain it what they meant too.
Casandra called me today with a message stating "Urgent Please call". when I dropped everything I was doing to make the phone call she responded that I was 1 day late on the rent. What a rude condescending person. Mark would never have left this type of message. She definitely needs people skills training. I will be giving my notice effective immediately. Very dissatisfied with extra space Sunnyvale. Bill
